| Barry DeVorzon |
Barry DeVorzon, long time General Partner and principal owner of Star Ranch is something of a renaissance man. After serving a voluntary enlistment in the U.S. Navy in the 1950’s, he began a prominent career as a musician/composer/producer in the emerging west coast recording industry. DeVorzon has over twenty hit records that he either wrote or produced in his career, and is credited with discovering and promoting the highly successful group the Associations, and establishing an equally successful independent record and publishing company that he later sold to Warner Brothers. Among his musical credits are numerous compositions for feature films and television programs such as: “Bless the Beasts and the Children”, “Hard Times”, “The Warrior”, “Simon and Simon”, “Private Benjamin” and “Renegades”. He was nominated for an academy award for “Bless the Beasts and the Children” and won a Grammy for “Nadia’s Theme”. His music for television has earned him six Emmys and numerous nominations.
DeVorzon and his wife Jelinda are residents of Montecito, California, where he has successfully created three highly acclaimed and well received residential subdivisions, through his artistic talents and sensitive land development techniques. His early recognition of low impact design solutions, and his honest candor with neighbors and community leaders, was a model for cooperative planning and implementation of residential development in a community known for its resistance to any new growth. With a small group of partners, drawn from his friends and music relationships, DeVorzon acquired the title to Star Ranch in 1969, and began a 39-year relationship with the community of Campo/Cameron Corners, as a part-time rancher and full-time owner. His commitment to the community has spanned almost 4 decades, and has been evidenced in the many charitable activities and events that he has hosted or sponsored at Star Ranch over this time.

| Doug Paul |
With a degree in civil engineering and more than 35 years of land development experience, Doug Paul has a wealth of practical knowledge securing development entitlements of complex, underdeveloped properties. As president and founder of Project Design Consultants, formed in 1976, Doug had the opportunity to serve as principal-in-charge of master planning, engineering and the development of some of San Diego’s most noteworthy (and challenging) projects including the neighborhoods of Sabre Springs, Carmel Valley and Ocean Front Terraces, Chula Vista’s Coors Amphitheater, Petco Park and its’ surrounding East Village project, the 33-story One America Plaza, Santa Fe Station Redevelopment, Hazard Center in Mission Valley, and Gateway of the Americas, a major border crossing facility and industrial park in the Imperial Valley. These are but a few of the major developments Doug has spearheaded, each with its’ own unique set of extraordinary engineering and planning challenges, including pioneering sustainable development and environmental restoration and the application of mixed-use development as a precursor to smart land planning.
Additionally, Doug’s interest in economic development has involved him in a number of activities involving a stint as President of the South County Economic Development Council, where he provided guidance in the retention of Gaylord Entertainment’s interests in the development of a major bay front convention center complex and an ongoing role as a director of the Chula Vista Redevelopment Corporation. In partnership with Gov. Ernesto Ruffo of Baja California, Doug also co-manages a strategic infrastructure advisory group committed to the enhancement of economics on both sides of the border. As The Paul Company's President, Doug brings his extensive engineering, planning, and design experience to face the ever-increasing complexities and challenges inherent in today's development landscape. |

| Jessica Hanson |

As project manager, Jessica Hanson serves as the conduit through which all of the Paul Company’s day-to-day processes flow. Prioritizing tasks, coordinating inter-departmental functionality, setting plans into action, and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment are all a part of Jessica’s position as Project Manager. Additionally, Jessica serves as the point person for identifying new potential land development opportunities, as well as “roughing-in” the ground work for bringing the Paul Company’s next project to fruition. Jessica effectively manages all of the moving parts involved in bringing difficult-to-entitle properties to acquisition phase by thoroughly researching and managing all of the different facets of the process, dovetailing and scheduling the various departmental tasks on a daily basis. As the single link between development crews, sales and marketing groups, business managers, and contractors, it all boils down to great communication. |
